Jennifer has been working with Children for over twenty years in a variety of capacities. She has taught and designed art classes from the elementary level to teaching University level sculpture. She has worked as Behavioral Strategist for Children in the school systems of California, where she traveled to several school locations to work in both group and one-to-one settings. In addition, Axinn- Weiss has experience as a Hypnotherapist at the Center of Hypnotherapy located in Oakland, California, through Marilyn Gordon where she worked clinical practice seeing clients in individual sessions. Jennifer has also trained in Dynamic play therapy through the Metamorphose Institute with Dennis McCarthy and Brenda Lawrence. In addition, she has received post graduate training in Art Therapy through the Art Therapy Certification program located at UC Berkeley Extension. She has taken coursework on a Doctoral level in expressive Art Therapy with a specialization in Sandplay through Saybrook Graduate school and Union Institute.

Jennifer is certified Hypnotherapist and a member of National Guild of Hypnotherapists , an associate member of Sandplay Therapists of America, East Coast Sandplay Association, and has been a member of C.G. Jung Foundation of NYC. While earning her Masters in Fine Art, through Virginia Commonwealth University, Jennifer received a Graduate Fellowship and Summa Cum Laude. Axinn- Weiss has attended monthly colloquia and had supervision with Roz Winter, a teaching member of the Sandplay therapists of America and a Faculty member of the C.G. Jung Foundation of New York City.
